I might just be able to use you for the soundtrack recording which we are going to produce up a little! Let's talk more about the potential for sending four track tapes back and forth for you to put an accordian part on "Downtown Demon's REsume", I'll need to know what kind of 4 track you have. It's a song in a gypsy style with an Am - Dm - E type progression. I Have it charted and am working on the scoring of it right now. Funny you should mention Kurt Weill, as on tuesday, when Jason (the author/director) and I were sketching the songs he kept saying "Think Kurt Weill". This play (according to him) is actually heavily based on "Threepenny Opera" Style of The Anti-"Musical" Musical (meaning that it isn't saturated with songs that you would expect should have been done by Gene Kelley or Fred and Ginger. This play is dark and dirty. One of the most beautiful pieces that came out of it is called "Flavours" and is sung by a prostitute named "Carla Knowledge". I Love this project!! Ian (looking for an Accordionist From Hell!! ;) _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 1 Apr 2001 14:27:40 -0400 From: "Robin" Subject: Re: Alloy: cool new show (completely OT) Jon, please pass along my congratulations to everyone on the show! It's fantastic.. Dave and I loved it. We'll be listening for your work in the dance club scene, and hopefully other future episodes :) !! I must highly recommend Invader Zim to everyone on this list - it's brilliant and hilarious, very much in keeping with all of Jhonen's work. I'm glad he did some of the voices in it too, "Old Kid"... LOL! xxxx Robin T ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 01 Apr 2001 20:17:45 -0700 From: Robyn Moore Subject: Re: Alloy: Coming out of the closet as a thespian... [OT] >As it turned out... I missed the premiere due to a viewing committment on another channel, but it looks cute, so I'm planning on catching it. I'm keeping an eye out for that VH1 show too, but haven't seen anything yet.
