I've just heard from my eldest sister for the first time in a little while... I'm very happy to hear that my 13-year-old nephew (who is now 6'3"! ~shriek~!! :) is a blossoming keyboard player with a love of MIDI and other synth effects.. also that he is collecting computer and video games for their music scores. So guess what - he's soon to be given a little collection of Mr Dolby's CDs by his Auntie Robin for his birthday this June!! I'll have to check with my sister to see if he has any yet, and I'll fill in the rest. It's fun being an auntie. I've also learned he's done a lithograph in school & it was chosen to be in a national scholastic art competition, apparently he was the only 7th grader whose work was entered (brag, brag, brag :) Robin T ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 06 Jan 2001 23:31:09 -0500 From: Robin Thurlow Subject: Alloy: War Child update So far I've received donations to War Child from six very generous Alloy members who enjoyed the 'Fever Pitch' download of a few weeks ago. Our total thus far is $150! Thanks so much to all of you who have contributed so far. xxxx Robin T ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V6 #4 *************************
