Some good stuff on there ARGH! I've been out of town the last few days and (shamefaced) just deleting my alloy digests -- serves me right that something came up that sounds like I shouldn't miss! Could someone repose the original bit ? pleeeeeease? I don't suppose it's time- critical though, since I'll be offline for the next 2 days... happy holidays everyone! *B* ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 23 Dec 2000 16:51:38 -0500 From: "Ian Gifford" Subject: Alloy: The gift Dear Thomas and Robin... Thank you Thank you thank you.... The Fever Pitch pieces are fabulous and were well worth the 3 hours of download time. I almost cried when that beautiful trumpet piece cut out though I knew to expect it. Otherwise there are some gorgeous melodies presented here and typically Great as is the TMDR way. The best of the Holiday Season to Thomas, his family and all of the Alloyance. Wasabi! I'm still here, just doing a spot of lurking and catching up on a few thousand emails. Work's been very politicky (the powers of good won in the end though) and has been monopolising time of late. Taking a couple of weeks off over Christmas and fair warning, I'm working on another couple of stories... Other than that, things are pretty much peachy. Hope you're all well, and wishing you and your families/loved ones a very merry Christmas or holidays relevant to you, and that the new year sees you safe, well and happy. If anyone's curious, Christmas day here in Brisbane is likely to be a copy of today: max of about 32 deg C (90 deg F give or take) with ~80% humidity and mid-afternoon sub-tropical storms promised. Oh and I'd like to join others in thanking Thomas for that spectacularly special Fever Pitch sticky bun fresh from the Thomas Dolby Robertson Tape Bakehouse, what a thoughtful & brilliant surprise! stay well, Paul.
