Just to make sure that I hadn't missed something. I checked. I had. I have three copies of Radio Silence guitar version as b-sides of singles. I had never listened to them. In my defence I very very rarely play vinyl and when I buy new items for my collection I do usually check the running times and master numbers to see whether this is anything audibly new. As these were b-sides they had gone unnoticed. If I were to play every Dolby single, 12" single, album, cassette, cassette single, CD, CD single and video that I own it would take me several weeks back-to-back (especially with all the promos, acetates and test-pressings) but I'm going to do just that in the near future. I wonder if there is anything else that I have missed. (groan...) You live, you learn. Doh! I'm wondering, how do you go about storing them? Do you follow museum standards for conservation at all? (humidity control etc) Also, any chance you might be putting any of your 'duplicates' up for auction on eBay any time soon? :) Robin T now with PayPal! ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 12 Nov 2000 10:50:08 -0800 (PST) From: Brian Clayton Subject: Re: Alloy: blinded by b-sides On Sun, 12 Nov 2000 jonathan.chiddick@nokia.com wrote: > If I were to play every Dolby single, 12" single, album, cassette, cassette > single, CD, CD single and video that I own it would take me several weeks > back-to-back (especially with all the promos, acetates and test-pressings) > but I'm going to do just that in the near future. Jon, you should speak to Lazlo Nibble, keeper of the Holy Dolby Discography, to check that all these items have been duly entered therein. Sounds like you have a real treasure trove on your hands, well done! BC ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V5 #272 ***************************
