My Mac tells me in it's best obsequious butler 'I don't mean to pressure you, /but/' way, 'you /do/ realise you have 106 unread Alloy messages waiting...' I'll get with the game soon, really I will... stay well, Paul. This message powered by "Enjoy The Silence" off Violator / Depeche Mode. I searched and searched but they just didn't have any Galaxy bars (or whatever they are). I was very dissapointed. But I did at least pick up a Mars bar. I also picked up a Cadbury Flake, a Lion, Yorkie, Velvet Creme (I think that's what it was. Its sitting on my dresser and I'm at work), and I also picked up a bag of Twiglets. So far I've only opened the Mars and the Twiglets. I got the Twiglets as they look like the snacks Mr. Bean serves in the New Years episode. (Can anyone verify that for me?) But I have to say, I wasn't really impressed with the flavor. Being made of wheat, cheese flavoring, salt and pepper, I expected something different, but I imagine they probably go a lot better with beer. Strange thing was I found the aftertaste to be much better than the first taste! ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Sep 2000 12:35:29 -0400 From: Robin Thurlow Subject: Re: Alloy: No Galaxy here (and Alloy ramblings) Dennis Alexander wrote: > I also picked up a Cadbury Flake, a Lion, Yorkie, Velvet Creme (I think that's what it was. Eeeeet the Flaaaaake... and think of me (maybe I'll get residual psychic Flake bar sensation) BTW, for those who may be interested, I've thought of a good way to feature Alloy posts from previous years (yes I'm keeping myself very amused with this :) I'll be going to the Archives & fetching a post that was made on the same date in Alloy history, or roughly the same, or perhaps from the same week. It's so fantastic to see everyone's old posts, and so many of the same people were there in those days... Paul, Mary, Ms Sakamoto, Neil, Melissa, Slarv, Omega, Monya, etc etc (so many others!) I see that Clif Brigden used to post quite a lot, but unfortunately his account address went dead last year sometime & he hasn't been on Alloy for a while. It would be such a joy to have him drop in again sometime. He seemed like such a sweet person, and very knowledgeable. Does anyone have any news of him?
