I suspect it was the previous week's issue, but it'd be nice if someone could confirm it. I don't have the mag with me at the moment or I'd tell you which page. It is a little hard to find but well worth scouring the magazine for. Though it isn't a big article I'm incredibly psyched to see Thomas and Beatnik getting this kind of exposure. My deepest thanks again to Thomas for bringing it to our attention! xxx Robin T __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! It's a half- page in their "web" section. It's actually not bad, just talking about Beatnik. Of course it mentions his new-wave days but is not derogatory at all. And it's got 2 pics as well! *B* Barbara Cohen, Lunatic University of Tennessee, Knoxville ************************************ Radioactive cats have 18 half-lives. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 24 Aug 2000 11:55:28 -0700 From: Robyn Moore Subject: Re: Alloy: people At 06:51 2000.08.24, you wrote: >It's the issue with all the couples who've had babies >on the cover (Davin Bowie & Iman, Madonna and her >boyfriend, etc) Thomas is featured in a one-page >section having to do with the internet; he's got a >segment of the page which tells about Beatnik & >features two photos of him - a small inset of him in >the long blond wig from years ago and a larger recent >photo of him in half-shadow, holding his keyboard. Ah - finally found it. Apparently, the page it's on and the one in front were staticked together and I missed it the first couple times I paged through. The page doesn't have a number, but if it did, it'd be 23. Boy, that's some wig, eh? Made it worth buying something that featured a Survivor article. ;) Many thanks to Thomas for the heads-up, and I'm sure we'd all be eternally grateful if he did find some time for performing in there. :) Robyn M @ Robyn Moore @ http://www.alveus.com/kbrm/robyn.html @ You knew the job was dangerous when you took it. - S.C. ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V5 #207 ***************************
