Go to http://www.sharewaremusicmachine.com/ Click on Software Synthesizers on the list, then click on Windows 95/98/NT, then click down the list on SimSynth... It does not allow you to Save, but you can play with it. I just bought one to add to my arsenal $35 US dollars!!!! and it sounds just as real as the real thing!. There are some Freeware there if you are interested. I haven't explore the site thoroughly yet, but its full of goodies. Also for the MACs. There is another one just released from Denmark going at $89 US dollars. Seems more sophisticated called Dream Station. I will buy this one as well... The nice thing about these software is that I can interface my synth guitar with them like a module on my computer and laptop! http://www.audio-simulation.de/index.html. I haven't explore > the site thoroughly yet, but its full of goodies. Also for the MACs. MACs? Excuse me for asking but what do ethernet hardware addresses have to do with music software? (One of my pet peeves, I'm sorry electrix, couldn't resist. ;-) It's Mac. Or Macintosh, as in the type of apple - quite nice tasting I'm told. Seriously, thanks again, good sir. Duly bookmarked. Along with SW radios one of the things I've wanted to get back into lately is synths & MIDI et al. Not that I ever had any smidge of ability mind, but I do regret selling that Juno 106 all those years back. Or never hunting down a jupe 8... or a 6, or an SH-101, or a DX-7, or any kind of Miracle patch box... Thanks. Needed that. P. I'm glad you had such a great time @ the P-Funk All-Stars show, and you actually got to meet George Clinton!! (BTW I love George's 'Hairy Tales' @ his web site, in which he tells a little about some of his past experiences & the development of his fashion sense :) It was sweet of you to give him your record, I'm sure he will never forget you! George Clinton & P-Funk were supposed to be coming up my way one of these days too. There was an announcement about them posted in our student union @ the beginning of last semester - though they may have changed their tour schedule, I'll have to check it out. According to the announcment you could sign up to be a guest roadie for them & get in free to see the show! So if they are coming (and I'm not pregnant by then...) I may soon be hauling amps for P-Funk, perhaps when the next semester kicks in. Thanks for the great story Michael!!
