I have to totally agree with this. Fortunately, I was in the Florida Wave Drum & Bugle Corps in 1986. They have long since folded. It is one of the most fantastically memorable times in my life. We only came in 19th that year, so we had to sneak in to watch the finals. Ahhh, the memories...sleeping in the luggage rack or floor of a bus...sleeping in the gymnasium of a school...waking up at 6:30 in the morning to start practice... on second thought, I paid money to do this? - -Russell Milliner http://www.iag.net/~milliner/tmdr/ ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 May 100 20:35:54 -0400 (EDT) From: Colin Viebrock Subject: Re: Alloy: Solo ... with Nina Hagen? Amazing how I can answer my own questions, eh? Now, the big question is ... since I'm assuming no-one here has this ... is where can you get it? - Colin ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 May 2000 21:16:33 EDT From: RThurF@aol.com Subject: Re: Alloy: Just wondering... (Instrumental) <- T.D. while with Bruce Wooley Therapy/Growth Leipzig Urges Radio Silence (guitar) Puppet Theater Get out of my mix Fieldwork The Mirror Song Close But No Cigar (Version) Beauty of a Dream (Piano & Vocal) I think this would give a good sampling of most of his career and release many songs previously available digitally. (Note: I've got all of these and I've made my own compilations like these on CD.) - -Russell Milliner http://www.iag.net/~milliner/tmdr/ ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 May 2000 21:15:53 -0400 From: Russell Milliner Subject: Re: Alloy: Solo ... with Nina Hagen? I have the song, and unless you speak German it wont mean much to ya. - -Russell Milliner http://www.iag.net/~milliner/tmdr/ Colin Viebrock wrote: > > > > I suspect that someone made a mistake...I mean, if it's not in Lazlo's > > discography, it doesn't exist, right? :-) > > Wrong! :P > > http://www.nina-hagen.com/nina/WaterE.html > Click on "Discography", then "Singles", then look for 1998. > > Amazing how I can answer my own questions, eh? > > Now, the big question is ... since I'm assuming no-one here has this ... > is where can you get it? > > - Colin ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 May 2000 18:41:51 -0700 (PDT) From: Brian Clayton Subject: Re: Alloy: Solo ... with Nina Hagen? I believe Russell has this one nailed. I stand corrected. I must admit that the photo on the cover looks alot like TMDR to me (although I'm really only going by what I remember him looking like on the covers of Wireless, Flat Earth and Aliens. And who knows ... a secret German alter-ego career wouldn't be that unbelievable, would it? ;) - - Colin ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 May 100 22:15:28 -0400 (EDT) From: Colin Viebrock Subject: Re: Alloy: Solo ... with Nina Hagen? It's true! FYI, here's a site on this "Thomas D" guy (including a longer clip of the song that started this discussion). http://www.fourmusic.com/fourmusic/artists/thomasd/ Listening to some of the other clips ... I think we can eliminate the alter-ego theory, though. :) - - Colin ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 May 2000 00:14:06 EDT From: RThurF@aol.com Subject: Alloy: smoe.org downtime this weekend Hello everyone, I've just gotten word from Jeff that Alloy's server will be down for a period of about 4 to 6 hours at some point over this weekend (he isn't sure of the exact time) If any of us should post to Alloy and it doesn't appear to go through away, it'll be because of this downtime, and our posts will be placed on hold until smoe is hooked up again.
