She's great, and I love her so, but, when it comes to emails (as she admitted)... Basically, she's very enthusiastic and the hands just aren't fast enough at the typing thing. Thanks Beth and Keith for telling everyone our goings-on this last Saturday. If you read Teresa's message again, now, it will make perfect sense. >I know I missed the alloy reunion and jam session. Quote-"I was getting my hair and nails done". /\/\iles said it's not an excuse. /\/\iles you have to admit I did look hot. Teresa has no humility. ...well, she does, after she's bragging. You have to see it but its quite funny as she will say something like, "I'm so hot! (pause) I'm bragging, aren't I?" Then I'll brag about something and she'll call me stuck up, with a grin. She just makes you feel good... that's why I love her. >Thanks once again for the invite and a most awesomest evening. Yes, Miles, fantastic. I thought it was really cool when the band came down in the audience and played their last song, directly in front of me! I could have reached out and touched two of those incredible guitars! >/\/\iles you made the night all the more better. As you may know, he treated us out to dinner shortly after our engagement in San Francisco and made it one of the best nights of our lives. He's a little rough around the edges at times, but always a gentleman. >JAMac said that benefits come from being an Alloy member. I certainly have to agree. >To sum up the night, JAMac must be famous because he is the only one I know who can walk up to the front door & say he's with the band and get and All Access pass no questions asked. I have no idea how that happened. Miles told us to tell them at the door that we were 'with the band'. That was all I said. Especially after I realized they thought I was 'in' the band! I was going to test the limits of that 'All Access' pass but figured I'd run into someone who knew the band and get kicked out. But I should have at least tried it at the bar! Keith said I must look like a musician. I believe I am a musician. But I didn't think I 'looked' like your typical musician. Was it the leather jacket? The tin whistle?... >After the concert JAMac, Keith and I went to Denny's and /\/\iles somehow wondered over to our table at 1am. -Weird- So I deduced that this coinsidence was because I missed the earlier reunion. Thus making up for my not showing because I'm stuck on myself. Hey one day I will be a movie star. ...and you will all kiss her feet. Ok, now I'm bragging! >To make this Thomas related, JAMac gave me his extra TMDR t-shirt that /\/\iles created. Now we can be twins. Yeah! ...that was the Alloy T-shirt Miles made, what, a couple of years ago? I bought an extra one as Miles had a few extras when all was said and done. Never realized the love of my life would get it. One regret I had over the whole day, I was kinda hoping they would post the group shot the one guitarist took of us on the web. But it's cool to show your friends Miles picture and tell the story, anyway. And Miles did me one more favor; as I drove him from Keith's to Beth's house, he played for me a whole bunch of Thomas' songs I'd never heard but knew about, such as Jungle Line and such. Thank you for that. Keith wrote... Hey Thomas, if you ever come to Denver, be sure to let us know so we can treat you to dinner. You are sure to enjoy the evening. Most definitely Thomas! ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 26 Apr 2000 20:25:01 -0400 (EDT) From: Dennis Alexander Subject: Alloy: Driving Mr. Dolby jon wrote... >Which brings me to a mini-revelation I recently had. And if I am wrong, don't tell me...why ruin the fantasy. I just moved to Westchester County, NY. I find myself driving alot along a nearby highway called 287. A few months ago, I was listening to the radio, and decided to explore where this short highway led to. Very quickly, I found myself crossing a bridge and ending up in New Jersey. And it hit me....Weightless....Westchester Thruway...sumps leaking all over New Jersey. Hmmm. Just last Saturday, I was driving Miles on Colorado's 287 to Beth's house for our Colorado Contingent party (with Miles as guest) and he was playing those rare Dolby songs and remixes for me! Weightless is also the cover I did for the Flattery Earth tribute! ... to meet Erik Habbinga at Beth's, who did a cover the year before! What an interesting Dolby week! ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V5 #102 ***************************
