Presser" Subject: Re: WAY OT - Re: Alloy: Re: alloy-digest V5 #91 I'll say one last comment on this then drop it. I don't agree with vandalism. I sympathize with those that are very inconvenienced by the protesters. Yet, have to say I agree with why the protesters are in Washington. The IMF/ World Bank and the WTO need to change so that labor rights and the environment is as much a priority as making a profit for shareholders. There, that's all I'm going to say. Melissa I hope this day goes well for you despite the craziness in the streets. Kate;-) Melissa R. Jordan wrote: > Kate, > > I'm sorry, but I'm there every day. Or is that delurking?.... Wee-oh, wee-oh This is an official, once-a-year delurkment. I just had my 39th birthday (thursday, April 13th, which, it turns out, is also official Tap Dance Day. Uh, okay....) And I'm having a real big Leipzeig moment. At least I'm playing that song over and over (from the retrospectacle cd). My new wife's new present of a new cd player for my old car gives me a new chance to buy another set of cds for my car - Dolby, 'natch. And a lot easier to justify the duplication as they are his, eh? But I ramble... My question is, is there a place (besides here, I know!) where one can find explanations, stories, etc. about Thomas' songs? I found a Grateful Dead book that has stories for all their songs and a web page that defines Don MacLean's American Pie (not the movie). I thought it would be wonderful to find some web page for our Fearless Leader's songs. For example, what's up with Budapest (a personal fav). I know about the goosesteppers and treasures stolen but there has to be more, perhaps in a somewhat film noir genre. Any suggestions/ ideas / explanations out there? Thanks for listening... Did I send this properly? Warren This now concludes unlurkment. Bzzt. ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V5 #94 **************************
