Shame on you , shame, shame... ha,ha,ha... :-) Man, that was a fast download. I still need to figure out how to compress MP3 at smaller bytes. I suppose my embedding pics and notes on the MP3 just bloats it more. Do you do something to keep the MP3 under 3Mgs? I liked the piece. I saved it. electrix ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 11 Mar 2000 22:49:05 EST From: RThurF@aol.com Subject: Re: Alloy: page question (OT) Thanks electrix for all the information :) !! I have so much to learn about this page stuff, and how a page interacts with a server or network. I think the problems I was seeing when trying to view my page had to do with a network glitch in my computer at work. In the entire university, mine is one of only three computers which wasn't on Windows NT (I just had Windows) The tech people are fixing it for me this week though! I'm the lowest ranking peon in the entire library... sitting in the basement mending old books... LOL! So I'm pretty much the last to be updated. Or should I say my hell sometimes I am now a web developer at KickStart.com (shameless plug) and have been facing these types of issues all the time.. Sometimes when you create a site that looks fine on Internet Explorer, it looks like crap on Netscape. I've come to the conclusion that Netscape is much less tolerant of boo-boos in your page than IE. The latest is a problem with some users signing up for our site. It is a bad day when the CEO comes by and asks how the signup issue is comming along because he noticed the new signup numbers were down (damn in-house reports). Anyway, I guess it keeps me on my toes. If you would like to see you are not alone, go to http://www.dishnetwork.com and follow the link to the "important note to Netscape users" at the bottom of the main page. I can imagine the hell Beatnik had in getting the plug-in to work well on all platforms. Looks like they finally got it though. Now, their editing program on the other hand.... - -Keith - ----- Original Message ----- From: To: Sent: Saturday, March 11, 2000 8:49 PM Subject: Re: Alloy: page question (OT) > > Thanks electrix for all the information :) !!
