(Hmm, maybe I should crack that old 'bone out of the case.) I used to play it in Middle School in concert and jazz band. I kinda miss it, but I think I'm too afraid I'll chase off the neighbors... or summon the cops. Actually, its in storage right now. Every time it comes to doing another tribute song, the though of getting the trombone out flashes through my mind. ___________ JAMac (Dennis S. They put tons of American companies out of business with their quality. My dad used to sell pianos but that was decades ago so I don't really know exactly what's the best anymore. ___________ JAMac (Dennis S. Well, I'm usually the first to cast doubt on anything modern medicine introduces, but, for as long as they've been doing all sorts of surgeries with lasers, I really havn't found anything against them. The idea of a laser in the eye sounds frightening, after all, you're not supposed to point any sort of laser into your eye, right? But, I think maybe this one is actually pretty good. ...And that's coming from the doubter. ___________ JAMac (Dennis S. I say that's nonsense, and point to Tom Jones, a whole flood of fantastic studio musicians from the 1950's on up, Tony Bennett, an equally large flood of country musicians and singers, Frank Sinatra, and more if I had some more time to think of them. And don't forget one of my favorites, Barbra Streisand. (And for those of you who remember the thread, I am heavily into The Cure as well.) ___________ JAMac (Dennis S. I feel God wrote the Bible this way so that only certain ones can find the truth. (Luke 8:9, 10) After all, the scriptures even say that not everyone would find the truth in the Bible.(Mt 7:13, 14) Anyway, I don't want to debate either, but I do certainly love discussing it with anyone who wants to share their ideas. After all, it is my commission to find anyone who shows interest (Mt 28:19, 20). ___________ JAMac (Dennis S. I agree with the washing but, I have to say I really am against flu shots. I have been to so many different health seminars put on by various organizations and doctors who are strongly against flu shots (amongst many other things). Flu shots contain mercury, in order to either kill or half-kill the virus. Mercury does the same thing to human bodies. It kills. Maybe the quantity is minutely small in the shot but, you don't need to be adding more heavy metals to your body when the environment already puts too much in our bodies. Many people get a little sick, or in somewhat rare cases, some actually get the full-blown flu from the shot. A significant reason for this is the mercury; it heavily taxes your immune system. Don't get me wrong, the concept of the flu shot is great, it's just that they don't quite have the delivery mechanism perfected to be safe. Like I was saying earlier, it's all related to the strength of your immunity. I've skipped the flu for a few years in a row now myself. ___________ JAMac (Dennis S. (OT) Well, it finally happened. I got a call on Friday for a job they wanted me to start on Monday. Its a 3-month contract with the first 2 days being a working interview. I havn't even seen anyone from the company I'll be working with! For some reason, it always happens this way, I search for a month with absolutely nothing looking too promising when suddenly I get a call where they tell me what the job entails and that my resume seems to match up, and do I want the job... You start tomorrow. No interviews. If they like you, they'll keep you. I've come to the conclusion that these work better for me anyway as I don't seem to interview too well. Just put me to work and you'll see I'm the right one. This one, though looks more hopeful. Its the first job where I'm starting out at the ground floor, litterally! The company has an empty shell they just built and havn't even put cubicles into. At first, due to a very limited staff, I will not only be doing my typical NT/Network Admin stuff, but since I've had experience with PBX systems (their end-product) and training and customer support, I'll be doing a little of all those functions, until my roll gets more defined. It's so cool because I may end up being one of the core defining architects of this company's infrastructure! It's awesome! I've always dreamed of an opportunity to do something like this! Best yet, the 3 month contract pays a whole lot more than I've ever earned! Which just might step me into even a higher income if they decide to hire me! The potential is unreal! ___________ JAMac (Dennis S. We do our best and hope for the best and expect the worse. What I really hate is when I do one of my health seminars and people tell me "Well, you're going to die anyway, one of these days." This is my reply: "Great! I've been looking for someone like you! Tell you what, you have a 1:2 chance of dying of cancer and with that attitude, I'm sure it's higher for you. So lets save you all the trouble of going through an extended period of time with agonizing pain (mind you, it's equal with childbirth as being the worst pain you can experience). I'm going to chain you to a wall and whip you till your dead! It will all be over in a far shorter period of time and a lot less painful! What do you say?" 'Oh, the shock, the horror!' Why is it I have to slap people around with reality to wake them up to the potential in life they could have? It amazes me! Anyway, yeah, were going to die, someday, but, while you have your life, why not make the best of it? Why not reach out for your dreams? Why not have a little self-discipline and educate yourself so you can take yourself to a 'ripe' old age and still be incredibly healthy? Think of all the things you could accomplish? That's the attitide I have on it. But then again, (and this is due entirely to my own personal religious opinion), there is the chance I may never die, along with millions of others. ___________ JAMac (Dennis S.
