As far as new years resolutions go. I usually take up smoking around 11:00 pm on new years eve and then resolve to quit. I don't have any trouble with keeping that one, well except come the next new years. I guess I kept last years resolution because I forgot to take up smoking this new years eve. - -Keith - ----- Original Message ----- From: Catherine Anderson To: Sent: Monday, January 03, 2000 6:49 PM Subject: Re: Alloy: I'll show you mine if you show me yours... > > New Year's Resolution? I keep meaning to tell you that whenever I get an Alloy message you've sent, I get utterly confused because the delightful 7-year-old daughter of one of best friends is one Catherine Anderson, too. She sends me e-mail, too, on occasion (usually with an attachment of really cool fridge art - she's a Star Wars nut like me and draws great stuff for me from the movies). So I get a message from Catherine Anderson, picturing this cute little kid, and then I read about resolutions and sit ups, and I have to stop and remember who's who. :-) And I've been meaning to say that the picture of you that's on the Alloy Names and Faces page is really cool - you look like the totally hip chick I would have *loved* to have been at your age! Cheers, Melissa Catherine Anderson wrote: > New Year's Resolution? It's "Don't change anything, > becuase you're having a lot of fun right now the way > it's all going." I like that kind. I thought the 'river of fire' meant the fireworks, figuratively speaking (and the reflection of the fireworks in the water) Were they planning to do something similar to the trail of fire in the reflecting pool @ the Washington Monument in DC? I thought the London fireworks were wonderful too, I watched them on CNN :) Did you see the NYC ones? I was actually interested in the 'scent sculpture' the newscasters desscribed, which was released over Times Square with all the confetti. The 'sculpture' consisted of small scented sheets of paper, each different scent representing a particular country whose people had chosen the one smell that they felt symbolized their nation. The artist who did it had put it together over the course of the past ten years. I would love to have smelled it! If only I'd known. I was on call for my work at Disney Online for New Years day. Never got called and slept in soundly. My husband and I went to some friends' house for New Years Eve. We had a great time and didn't leave until 3:00am in the morning. I liked the celebrations in Paris the best, also the celebrations in Ireland. There was no mention of Scotland or any Native American celebrations for the new year. Oh well. That's all for now. I just kinda make up a plan as to what I would like to accomplish this coming year. That's it. Pax Aye, Kate;-) Catherine Anderson wrote: > New Year's Resolution?
