I've never heard of the band Mulu, myself, though some among us know quite a bit more about the music scene than I. What kind of work do they do? (so that I may look them up next time I hit Tower Records) Are people really interested in doing a Calendar?? All fire hoses aside, I would of course do the calendar in the finest of taste, but I'm thinking there should be an interesting theme to it. "Guess the Alloy Member", perhaps? (with disguises! :) And whoever got them all right could win a wonderous prize! Just tossing ideas around... If we did costume photos it would also make things more fun for those who hate to pose for pictures, such as myself. Anyone up for a costume party calendar for the year 2001? We could also all vote for Best Costume etc, with prizes of course. If anyone would be interested, I'll come up with some working specs and post them here. If anyone has other ideas for a theme calendar, fire away. If this project comes about, with enough support, I think I could even get up the courage to ask Mr Dolby if he'd enjoy participating in the preparation of some of the prizes...! (with disguises! :) Robin, I think that would be a real hoot! We have such creative people out here - and it would provide a little outlet for those of us who cannot play instruments and/or are not talented with computers and such! Now, for something completely different... Mulu came through DC recently. I'm always scanning the club listings in the vain hopes that someone I'd actually part with cash to hear will be swinging through. I came to a dead halt when I saw this name. I'm clueless as to what their music is like. The next time I travel to Asia, I would really, really like to visit the Mulu Rainforest. I love caves and caverns, and the Mulu is loaded with really cool caves with all sorts of amazing formations. The way finances look right now, though, I think my next trip to Asia is a long, long way off. Bummer, man! Off to listen to the rain outside. It's marvelous... Cheers, Melissa - -- Melissa R.
