There were a couple of technical glitches getting your message through, but you came through loud & clear anyway :) As for "Gothic" - many of our memebrs have good luck checking an on-line auction house called eBay (www.ebay.com) I've seen "Gothic" cd's come up for auction several times over the past year there. I be happy to make you an audio-tape version of mine, though my current 'sound equipment' is dismal - probably not up to your standards as a musician by any means!! (we are investing in decent sound equipment in the near future, I swear... just as soon as we pay off the sofa...) It was back when I was in grade 7 or 8, I don't exactly remember when. Joe Clark had just been elected Prime Minister with a minority government. The opposition had teamed together to call an election to oust him because of a gasoline tax. As a result, Joe Bumbles was out campaigning. He came to my small town of Simcoe and gave a speach at the Rec Centre and we got the afternoon off school to go see him. Afterwards there was a line of students standing on the way to the tour bus and Joe was stopping to shake hands and talk with the students. I got in line thinking, "Cool, if I shake hands with the Prime Minister, I'll have a story to tell my grandkids." I didn't know how right I would be. Well Joe only got 1/4 of the way through the line when one of his aids told him he had to hurry along so he began to make his way quickly down the line, shaking only a few hands. Before he got to me he broke into a run for the bus, as he came running past me I quickly thrust out my hand hoping to get a handshake. Joe ran smack into my hand and doubled over. I'll never forget those monumental words he uttered as he looked me right in the eyes and said "Oof!". He was then whisked off by his aids onto the bus. So much for my handshake. But what I didn't realize was that to everyone else gathered it had looked like I had punched the Prime Minister in the stomach. I soon became the talk of the schoolyard. There was even a rumour that I was being investigated by the RCMP. Of course my explanations of "I had just stuck my hand out hoping he'd shake it" were met with cynical retorts of "yeah, right." The funny thing is, Joe is once again the Tory leader and if he ever gets elected Prime Minister again then maybe I'll have a second chance to punch the Prime Minister of Canada in the stomach.
