When Dave (who currently works for Gannet News Services) got home from work an hour ago, I showed him the Washington Post picture of Thomas which I'd printed out. He immediately mentioned how cool it is that there was an article about Thomas & Beatnik in the Washington Post, since this is such a big newspaper & Thomas is sure to get even more notice than he has already. Very cool :) Robin T ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 08 Sep 1999 00:20:42 -0700 From: Robyn Moore Subject: Re: Alloy: Washington Post Article - What a Great Way to Wake Up! That was one of the most amazing parts...he did The Saga Begins and Yoda as his encore...it was an outdoor venue (an amphitheatre at the state fair), and you could hear the whole audience singing along in perfect time. Hi... My name is St=E9phane, I'm french... The soundtrack "Gothic" isn't available anywhere... But for me, Gothic is one of the better soundtrack I've ever heard... T.Dolby is a great composer. In addition to the orchestra, he used a Fairlight, no ? I'm a keyboardist, and I'm impressed ! I wanna have this soundtrack, and if anybody has a solution to my problem, he'll be very nice to give it to me... Maybe someone could send to me an exemplary of Gothic... I'll pay it... Or I could send to him anything else he want to have. Friendly, Steph. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 8 Sep 1999 22:36:15 +0200 Hi... My name is Stephane, I'm french... Hello all.. For those that hadn't heard.. the Southern California contingent met for lunch today.. (We had a place for Elaine.. but her pregnancy prevented her from participating) It was a great lunch.. and yes.. I've got a photo in the camera to prove it. For the record.. Mr. Dolby was mentioned on more than one occasion... but as Electrix so aptly described it.. we eventually ranged from talk of websites to watches.. Disney shows to Dolby tunes.. The mystical and the magical.. Clans and Computers.. All in an hour. Next time.. I think we'll have to work out a trip to that beach house where we can relax and have the time. Nervous? Nahh.. it was just a step into the future.. meeting people face to face that share interests from the initial meeting via this forum.. Anyhow.. Kate.. I enjoyed seeing your clan photos.. and hearing about your work at Disney.. I'd enjoy meeting your husband.. and as I mentioned.. I'd like to see the studio that he's keeping afloat! Electrix.. a pleasure also meeting you.. and quite an enjoyable time finding out a bit about remote viewing. Thanks for the list... too.. I intend to look into that more. At one point or another I'd like to hear more about your computer knowledge.. I could use a few pointers! As I mentioned to you both.. I start on another trip Saturday.. and won't be back at least until November. But I'll still be here in spirit and online in virtuality.. and I'll look forward to the next lunch.. or that day on the beach in Malibu?? !!! Oh.. yes.. I'll get that photo out of the camera when I return from my cruise. Ciao for now.. Mark ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V4 #246 ***************************
