I've just upgraded from a P60 to a P166 and the P60 could hardly manage to produce a note from any net sites at the best of times, but particularly when I tried to do anything else which either accessed the hard disk or used any additional memory. It was a bit like listening to a radio with very poor reception. The P166 behaves itself far better. Of course, I'd like something even beefier, but as all my kit is on loan from work I can't afford to be choosy. I really don't know much about computers, but I have a theory on your problem. Maybe your computer just had too much going on, and that caused problems somehow. I know what that problem is, I have a 486, and all the songs come out like that on my Beatnik player. I guess that's why you should have a pentium. Just a guess. - --Cay - --- RThurF@aol.com wrote: > > As many of you have no doubt already found, there is > a great new article on > the Beatnik site ( http://www.beatnik.com ) called > "How They Did It".
