Damn it, I turn my back for a few hours and someone has a birthday. Many happy returns, Robin, sorry my greeting is a little belated. Hope you had a pleasant evening looking at the stars and that Dave didn't burn the spuds. By the time we get the film it'll be worn out. Back on topic, ish, I was talking to a friend about the success of eBay and related matters, and it turns out he has a 12" original condition UK copy of Europa & the Pirate Twins which he may well be tempted to turn into cash, since he's rather strapped for the stuff at present. I think I'm right in thinking this was TMDR's first single. Anyone got any idea what it might fetch if he were to put it on eBay - or, more to the point - anyone here want to make an offer first? I'd buy it myself but I don't think I could afford it. Tilson" Subject: Alloy: Phantom Menace + TMDR single for sale Croydon, From my observation, the Europa 12" could sell on eBay anywhere from $5 to $25+ depending on origin, condition, and if it generates an eBay feeding-frenzy. You are, probably, only partially right about it being the first TMDR single, btw. URGES b/w LEIPZIG 7", Armaggeddon #007 was it. Europa was, however, the first 12" single. The usual parties may correct me as necessary. /\/\iles - hoping he doesn't send this one to the Chalkhills list ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 24 May 1999 09:26:12 -0700 From: Kathleen Truelove Subject: Re: Alloy: Announcement Robin, Happy Birthday to you. I guess in a few short years theaters will have digital projectors and we will all be watching new releases at the same time. Sorry to torture you with our advanced movie reviews. I guess at least you have less chance of seeing a dog of a film on opening night though. - -Keith - ----- Original Message ----- From: Lem Bingley > > First I'd just like to point out that Episode 1 doesn't come out in the UK until June and I just hate all Americans for hogging the reels until then.
