A RARE DOLBY ALBUM - SURELY NOT? Just visited http://www.cdzone.co.uk and did a search on TMDR which came back with an import album by Revi Iki(?) and Thomas Dolby called 'Cathexis'. I might be well behind the times here, but I've certainly not heard of this one. Anyone else seen or heard of this rarity? TEL ------------------- I happened to spy this enquiry from Terry. Answer: I co-wrote and played keyboards on a couple of instrumental tunes on this album by former Ofra Haza percussionist Iki Levy. iI's a nice kind of world/ambient album and well worth searching out, though not especially for my contribution. TMDR Ahh...I, too, was curious as to the nature of this recording. Thanks, Thomas! More fodder for Lazlo's Discography Machine! :) BC - --- Brian Clayton "The main motive for going beyond the Rim... stemish@lns.com there's a heck of a big Taco Bell out there..." -- jms ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 24 Apr 1999 23:06:18 EDT From: RThurF@aol.com Subject: Re: Alloy: SF Chronicle story In a message dated 4/24/99 2:31:31 PM Eastern Daylight Time, stemish@lns.com writes: :: There's a story on Beatnik and TMDR in Saturday's San Francisco Chronicle. I would probably fall down the stairs constantly if I worked there, because of the stairwell being lined with 45's (visually distracting, pretty, and interesting things) Good thing it's carpeted. And oh, Thomas looks REALLLY nice in this photo. I love the 'new him' :) though I loved the beard too, which he had not so long ago.. hm, perhaps he might alternate from time to time? He's far too gorgeous either way! Robin T ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V4 #123 ***************************
