I'm still jealous about the Jodrell Bank bit, but now I'm off star gazing most weekends at the wee observatory nearby, I don't feel so hard done by any more! Last weekend we got to see Mars, Venus, several messier objects & assorted star clusters, a planetary nebular and some close up peeking at the moon, which was particularily nice,...only problem was, Venus is SO bright at the mo that it's difficult to see any detail on the surface. Hmmpphh. All in all, I have so say I've become very affectionate of our Friday-night-sesh-followed-by-a-bevvy-or-two-down-t'local-pub routine of late. Bummer that we can't go tonight. Have to say though, that it was Saturn that left me flabbergasted,...those rings,....WOW! Happy star gazing to Slarv & everyone else! Have a nice weekend,.... I've been searching for Thomas Dolby on some CD websites... http://www.cdnow.com was very interesting, there's details (AND PICTURE) of the "Premium Gold Collection" album. http://www.tunes.com was more interesting... go to the biography link for a biog. and disc list... which includes an interesting album with TD and Talk Talk tracks! Apparently the Dolby name was a school nickname only... well... you live and learn! There was me thinking he'd been blessed with four initials from birth. (I hadn't given it much thought!) Right then.. I'm off for a loOOong weekend.. see y'all on Wednesday. Inspired by Robin's efforts I've been wasting the whole day building a web site, something that I've always meant to get round to but never quite bothered with before. It has an Alloy page on it, and if anyone wants their site linked to from there, then please let me know the URL. Alternatively, some might want me to remove the links I've already put in place, once they've seen them... It's not very big yet, but might get bigger.
