I haven't heard this yet, but I have heard the new Fireman CD and damn if it's not great. Who knew McCartney had something like this in him? He's what, 67(ish)? This definitely won't get the attention as a normal solo album would, but maybe that's OK. It's definitely not a commercial album, but it is adventurous and hits far more than misses. -----Original Message----- From: audities-owner@smoe.org on behalf of Bob Mootz Sent: Sat 11/22/2008 3:21 PM To: audities@smoe.org Subject: Re: Best Beatles solo album in ages Err typed too fast but didn't know it for a while cause I'm on digest... The album name is actually Haymans Green and they now go by the name "The Pete Best Band" not Combo. Anyway, samples here and I know Kool Kat has it and I assume our other favorite places (NL, JAM) might have or could get it?: http://www.amazon.com/Haymans-Green-Pete-Best-Band/dp/B001DSNFU0/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1221768701&sr=8-1 Date: Fri, 21 Nov 2008 19:35:08 -0800 From: Bob Mootz To: audities@smoe.org Subject: Best Beatles solo album in ages Message-ID: I've been getting pleasantly earwormed listening to what IMHO opinion is the best Beatle solo project since the Wilbury Days: Hayden Green by *surprise* The Pete Best Combo.
