What a surprise. I listened to the Fireman after you wrote this and was shocked. First of all ,there are vocals. I thought the Fireman was instrumental. And Paul is singing like he has nothing to prove. Just having fun. It sounds good. Of course, no matter how different the sound is from a solo Paul album, you can't mistake that voice.
Now I have to hear this Pete Best.

This definitely won't get the attention as a normal solo album would, but maybe that's OK. It's definitely not a commercial album, but it is adventurous and hits far more than misses.
