I've been a big fan ever since a fellow lister send me a cassette (yes, a cassette) mix tape containing the songs "Laughter" and "Afraid to Fail" from the "Home".   I can't think of any artist, even my favourites, where I like EVERY album they put out.  I agree that the last couple of bossa nova-influenced CDs since he moved to Spain have had their weaker moments, but I've found tracks on these that were still worth listening to.   I still think the guy has a great voice that I find pleasant to listen to, and like many artists will occasionally blow me away, like "1972" did.   "The Happiness Waltz" is definitely worth getting. ________________________________ From: Gene Good To: "audities@smoe.org" Sent: Wednesday, April 24, 2013 3:51:19 PM Subject: Re: Josh Rouse "The Happiness Waltz" I'm with you there. Definitely getting it soon. The last release I got from him was "Country Mouse" which I liked a lot. So I'm guessing from what I'm reading from you folks, the "El Turista" and "The Long Vacations" are not that great? > From: erik_westin@telia.com > To: audities@smoe.org > Subject: Re: Josh Rouse "The Happiness Waltz" > Date: Wed, 24 Apr 2013 21:27:51 +0200 > > Thanks for recommending this.
