Listened to this for the first time now. Big sound, 80s style. Love that 
the leadoff cut is from Reparata and the Delrons. No clue why they 
inspire controversy, but I remember whenever they were brought up on 
Spectropop, lively discussions ensured. My favorite is the cover of 
Nico's "I'm Not Sayin' ". A close 2nd is the Bonnie St Claire (w/o Unit 
Gloria) song "I Surrender". Bonnie & her unit of course did the 
incredible "Clap Your Hands & Stop You Feet" that Robin Wills & Jos De 
Groot comp'd on their Nederglam collection of the same name. Also love 
the rendition of Laura Ulme's "Amoureux D’une Affiche", tho the original 
slays the cover (see youtube)

Another plus -- the Primitives lp is released on one of the world's 
greatest labels (*)
