Director Guy Maddin has agreed to direct a movie version -- he directed a read through stage version at the L.A. Film Festival in 2011. The band needs to get financing -- I hope they can pull it off, as Maddin's eccentric vision meshes well with the Maels. > > Mike Bennett Thanks for the added information Mike! I hope so too! So would this be the Mael brother's second film (at least)? They had a small appearance in a not so good movie called ROLLERCOASTER I believe. I was thinking about Sparks related to this discussion. A lot of music that I love I have to be in the mood for. That is, there is a handful of artists that if I put it on and I never think, "oh I'm not in the mood for that". Sparks seems to be a band if I put them on I'm happy I did. This strikes me as both wonderful and concerning. ;) Steve D.
