I can't wait for it! I find that a lot of people I know who are at least SOMEWHAT interested aren't scouring the internet for the best bootlegs. What's the harm in releasing it? -----Original Message----- From: audities-owner@smoe.org [mailto:audities-owner@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Mark Smith Sent: Tuesday, March 15, 2011 9:52 AM To: audities@smoe.org Subject: Re: Smile Yeah, if money was the motivation then they've missed the boat there given the state of the music business. Also it should have come out before Brian's version, it's impact has been lessened. Having said that, even with the Brian/Wondermints version, it is well worth hearing these original recordings. They have an atmosphere and sound that, for all that they tried to copy the arrangements, simply isn't there in the new version. I can't believe that most Beach Boys fans aren't excited about finally having this stuff properly released.
