Hey Rick, please make 2011 an even better year musically with something new from Cloud Eleven! Cheers. ________________________________ From: "cloudeleven@ca.rr.com" To: audities@smoe.org Cc: audities-owner@smoe.org Sent: Mon, December 27, 2010 1:49:58 PM Subject: My Top 10 for 2010 Hey Audities, here's my Top 10 for the year: 1. Seth Swirsky  -  Watercolor Day For those wondering what I've been up to (Rick from Cloud Eleven) for the past few years, it was co-producing, playing and singing on this masterful record. I'm not tooting my own horn, but simply praising Seth's masterful songwriting and his ability to create lasting melodies within a perfect song cycle that sounds great and elevates the soul during any season of the year. Not to be missed. 2. Devo  -  Something For Everybody Amazing that it's been nearly 30 years since New Traditionalists came out...and they come back with this stellar slab of greatness. It's time to have fun listening to music again! 3. Maple Mars  -  Galaxyland Rick's best work to date, don't miss this one! 4. Brian Wilson  -  Reimagines Gershwin Love this...Brian's voice is superb, and of course his band isn't bad either (hey Nelson and Probyn!) 5. Paul Ellis  -  Twenty Days Until Tomorrow The man behind Pop Archeology Transmission, and another great collection of songs, seek it out. 6. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers  -  Mojo Can't go wrong with Petty, he always delivers the goods. 7. Neil Young  -  Le Noise Interesting record, really like the sparseness of just grungy guitar and vocals. 8. Neon Trees  -  Habits A new band that actually has good songs and a killer singer. His voice reminds me of the guy from Supergrass, the guy from Jet, and a little Rufus Wainwright. 9. Fitz And The Tantrums  -  Pickin' Up The Pieces Another new band, a throwback to the Motown sound, via the 80s. 10. The Grip Weeds  -  Strange Change Machine Only heard part of this record, but what I heard was fantastic, need to hear more! Have a great New Year everyone, I hope to come back in the next couple of years with my own new record, fingers crossed! Rick Gallego
