As a huge "That Thing You Do!" fan, this seems pretty tempting.  However, I
have been so maxed out lately, and ashamed to admit that I have not paid
enough attention to this awesome twosome.

I don't suppose some Audities experts would care to propose a fictitious set
list for such as show so that I could make a mix CD and pretend I was able
to go?

Check out "Song Of The Passaic" - written especially for
NPR All Things Considered's recent piece on New Jersey's
Passaic River. The lyrics were adapted from a poem by
John Alleyne Macnab (1890), and the music is by FOW. The song
is available as a free download at fountainsofwayne.com, where
there is also a link to the original radio piece.

FOW's Adam Schlesinger and longtime collaborator
Mike Viola (Candy Butchers) will be doing two West Coast shows
together in December, perfoming songs from their respective
albums, as well as songs written for films such as
That Thing You Do!, Get Him To The Greek, Music And Lyrics,
Walk Hard, Josie And The Pussycats, and others.
