It should come as no surprise to anyone here that this is a pretty terrific
record. Prior to the Audities diaspora, we would have been all over this
one.

The first Beat album is in my all-time Top Ten, and Collins is back in that
neighborhood with this new album. There's a little more grit in the voice,
but in a good way. When I looked at the track list before listening and saw
that he was covering "The Letter" and "You Tore Me Down," I feared for a
shortage of good original material. Nope, good strong songs all throughout,
and those covers fit right in.
