Definitely a different operation w/o The Ox. Never saw Moon and only saw Kenney Jones on the farewell show from Toronto (on HBO). But I remember him as a capable and solid drummer. Zak Starkey is an amazing player. He's kept time for both Oasis and Johnny Marr's solo band, The Healers. And may I just take a moment to stand in defense of Pino Palladino -- one of the finest, but unsung English bass players of his generation. john micek ----- Original Message ----- From: "Benjamin Lukoff" To: Sent: Thursday, February 11, 2010 12:04 PM Subject: Re: Loud criticism of The Who? Almost as good as the Stones show I saw the same year. To each his own, I suppose. Meanwhile, I saw McCartney in 2002 and didn't enjoy it so much, but that was probably the venue (the Tacoma Dome is really rather poor, acoustically). -- Benjamin D.
