Hello all. It's been an amazing, amazing year for The Luxury - we won the 31st annual Rumble (and the final WBCN Rumble, as it turns out), released a critically acclaimed sophomore CD called "In The Wake Of What Won't Change" (available at NotLame Records and KoolKat Music, although you'll have to dig), and to cap it off we're nominated for a Boston Music Award - Best Rock Act of 2009. If you'd like to take a second to vote for us, here is the link: http://www.thebostonmusicawards.com/contests/bma09/vote/ You'll also see some other great acts up there like Will Dailey, The Everyday Visuals, The New Collisions, and your standard assortment of buzz bands and perennial nominees... But hey, we got through this time, and we did it without getting trendy or buying anything. I'd also like to thank all of you who've shown us support this year, accepted CDs from us and written up reviews. The show of faith has been great, and we'll continue to do all we can to make good on it. "[The record] shines like the back of the sun." - Boston Metro "[Their] sound is big: U2 big, Oasis big, even a smidge of Pink Floyd big. That means that singalong hooks, memorable melodies, driving rhythms, close harmonies, and songs of the heart are all in the Luxury wheelhouse." - Boston Globe "Expertly polished, extravagantly layered..." - The Herald "I don't think this band or the local music scene will ever be the same... already looks to be one of the better albums to be released nationally in 2009." - Ryan's Smashing Life "Songs even the richest evil genius would be jealous of... a truly remarkable album." - The Last Broadcast
