Yes, unfortunately he has. This was published on the Spectropop list yesterday: ----- I was very sad to read a message from Ron Weekes on the Gary Usher site that Jeffrey Glenn has passed away: > Our List Loses A Good Friend > I heard earlier today that long-time list member and good > personal friend Jeffrey Glenn has passed away. I don't know > any specifics but do know that he has struggled with diabetes > and heart disease. > Jeff was one of the instrumental persons that shared a lot of > information with me as I was starting up the Gary Usher web > page a number of years ago. The late Jamie LePage was another > great sharer of information. > A few years ago Jeff and I had the opportunity to have dinner > together before a Paul McCartney concert. During dinner he > kept pulling Gary Usher related goodies out of his bag and > gave them to me. > His friendship, talent, and musicianship will be missed. > So if you have a copy of his band's CD (The Retros), pull it > off the shelf and give it a spin. I'll be playing in my office > all day Thursday. I'm sure lots of Spectroppers will recall Jeffrey's many messages, always full of fun and enthusiasm, to the group. His fully annotated "Lost Jukebox" series of CD-R's from the 1990s are the reason for many obscure vocal recordings floating around in cyberspace today. I'd lost touch with him some years ago, but his review "Top Pop Picks" for my Irving Martin site ( http://www.martinruk.net/IrvingMartin/index.htm ) displays his knowledge of and joy in music. Rest in peace, Jeffrey. Martin ------ I had some contact with Jeffrey in the Nineties and I remember him as someone with a lot of knowledge of music and Sixties music in general. We lost touch, but I was saddened nonetheless when I read about his passing. RIP, Jeffrey! Hi Adam Has Jeffrey Glenn died then? Best Robert Robert Pally Sägematt 3 6204 Sempach 041 760 47 49 On last night's Pop Garden Radio, we celebrated the life of a dear friend, Jeffrey Glenn. Jeff was a kind and caring person, with a silly sense of humor. He was an encyclopedia of all things Pop. Anyone who ever met him picked up on the fact that he knew nearly every obscure fact about millions of Pop songs. He has been a part of the Pop Garden Radio family since the very first show, and it seemed appropriate to do a special show to remember Jeff. You'll hear music from Jeff's band, The Retros, songs from his friends, some of his favorite tracks and a few of the oddball songs that Jeff would force me to play. I know that Jeff was a member of Audities. It was actually through Jeff that I first heard about this list.
