Sooo.I am *really* digging the new Corner Laugher's release, Ultraviolet Garden! What's not to like? Unabashedly ukulele-driven, bookish, recovering Catholic schoolgirl-group twee pop, and this one is produced by Allen Clapp of the Orange Peels. The songs have a sort of lyrical depth that seems rare these days, with a side order of wit and irony reminiscent of Kirsty MacColl or early Nick Lowe. Very nice indeed.
