Yep, I remember reading about that in a Rolling Stone article back in 
the '80s. It was part of all of the legal wrangling that didn't get 
resolved until the mid-'90s. In an affidavit, Lennon talked about plans 
for the Beatles to reunite as part of the "Long And Winding Road" 
project, which is what eventually became the "Anthology" film.

So if Lennon hadn't died in 1980, we almost certainly would have gotten 
a real reunion instead of "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love."
