About ten years ago,
a radio friend of mine in Vancouver
was called by a man
who'd bought a reel of Beach Boys multi-tracks
(from the "Holland" sessions
.....including the studio version of "We Got Love")
in a pawn shop !!


True Story:

The guy who ran the store
didn't know what to make of the "big tape"
(a two-inch reel),
said he couldn't imagine where a tape recorder could ever be found
to play them on,
so he sold the reel for something like ten bucks !!

Needless to say,
my pal immediately contacted the "authorities"

and Brother Inc. was on the phone
within 24 hours....  ;-)
