I listen either in the car or while sitting at the computer. In the car it is usually SIRIUS channels 29 (The Loft), 26 (Left of Center, 30 (The Coffehouse). At the computer it is usually a digital file from my hard drive. I used to love holding the VINYL LP records in my hand, reading the lyrics, looking over the cover art, etc. while enjoying the music. When CD's arrived on the scene, that activity dwindled...a combination of things just becoming too small to really appreciate (or, even SEE) along with my declining eyesight. Now, I hardly miss having something to hold. I'd say I am 99% converted to the iPod digital way of listening. (That being said, I do miss the FIDELITY that came with a good pressing of an LP on a really good sound system). I am still old school I guess. I prefer a CD. I listen on my computer and iPOD mainly, but I still like to have that CD on my shelf. michael --- On Wed, 7/29/09, Mark Bacino wrote: > From: Mark Bacino > Subject: How Are You Listening? > To: "pop list" > Date: Wednesday, July 29, 2009, 8:18 PM > Hey Audities Folks, > > Had a question I was hoping to get some feedback on if you > were kindly > willing to offer your opinions.  Also think it might > be of casual > interest to everyone here as well - > > I'm currently exploring some traditional release options > for my latest > album, "Queens English", but I'm also entertaining the > option of > self-release (w/ proper distribution in place, etc).  > Along those lines, > I was curious to learn about your musical preferences these > days in > terms of format - How are you purchasing / listening to the > majority of > your music today?  mp3 download?  CD?  > Vinyl?  A mixture?  Wire > recorder? ;-) > > Seriously, just a sort of informal poll of the pop > intelligentsia based > here on the list. > > Thanks for your input! > > Best, > Mark > _________________________ > Mark Bacino > www.popjob.com > > > >
