That Thing You Do! is one of my very favorite movies;like you, if I run across it while channel-surfing, I wil stay and watch it again. I may even buy the movie (for the third time, after VHS and DVD purchases) from iTunes to play on my iPod.  The moment in the film when the band (and Liv Tyler) hear their song on the radio for the first ti,me is the single greatest encapsulation of rock 'n' roll musixc in cinematic history, eclipsing even the "Can't Buy Me Love" sequence ("We're OUT!") in A Hard Day's Night. -----Original Message----- From: govango To: audities@smoe.org Sent: Sat, Jun 13, 2009 12:54 pm Subject: Re: OT: Dr Bristol blog readers Yes Gene, you do have to see that thing you do. Another film I can watch it at anytime, and even when I catch it on TV, no matter where in the film it is, I can enjoy it to the end. Really shows you how the innocence of a bunch of musicans comes into conflict with the money making machine known as the music biz, and lots of funny moments as well. And Liv Tyler. michael --- On Sat, 6/13/09, Gene Good wrote: > From: Gene Good > Subject: Re: OT: Dr Bristol blog readers > To: audities@smoe.org > Date: Saturday, June 13, 2009, 11:11 AM > > I'll second that.
