What annoys me more than anything about this is the promotional corporate crap spouted. When the CDs came out years ago, I remember the first few were in mono because "that's how they were intended to be" according to EMI, Apple, George Martin et al. Now we have the chance to hear them again "for the first time on CD in stereo" - presumably how they were never intended to be heard? You can't even choose album by album - you can have them individually in stereo, but if you want any in mono you have to buy the whole set again. It's obvious that the target market is middle aged guys with a bit of cash to spare. Enough, in fact, to pony up for both sets without breaking the bank. Doesn't make it right though.
