The latest issue of Time Magazine, more or less. declared that melodic pop was going to rule the airwaves now that just about every other genre of music is dead or dying. They sited the popularity of Nikko Case's latest record as proof. They talked about indie and fringe popsters lurking in the shadows waiting to be "scene".
