I wonder if the album will sound a little Fountains of Wayne-ish (perhaps some snarky lyrics) mixed with the heavy guitar side of the Smashing Pumpkins, driven by a powerful Ringo-esque backbeat, with a little pop sweetness ala Hanson casually sprinkled on top?

Now watch them release a free-jazz album LOL.

Sounds like pop nirvana -- although the collective pedigree is certainly no guarantee of the intangible "it" factor when it comes to the songs. Definitely a curiosity-pique-r.

Incidentally, a fishing buddy of mine produced the Marisabel (sp?) project recently mentioned here; I'm trying to pry some info outta him...I do know she recorded a cover version of "Eres Tu" that was pretty amazing, if you're into such things.
