Steve, Missed your list this year.
That question is easy for me. It was in my list. "Anna" by Hello Saferide. 
The song got me even before I listened to the lyrics. And then I saw the 
video and the full force of the  song hit me. The guitar interlude in the 
middle slays me because it evokes a heart breaking. Chilling! I am always 
moved by this song. Definitely the best song I heard this year.
