Everything else has been a hodge-podge of Prog from the 70's and or obscure, original 60's psychedelia. >Thanks to many bloggers I've discovered some amazing and some terrible bands this year. >Among the amazing: > >Mighty Baby > > Mighty Baby, Great record. The second, Jusg Of Love has grown on me this last year or so. I wasn't too wild about it when it came out, as it is a little laid back. The CD adds some nice thigs. Martin Stone is of course one of the best. >The Parlour Band >The Asylum Choir >Stained Glass > > One of the hometown bands. Saw them twice, once at our highschool. There are compilations of the singles floating around. I actually don't much care for either album, as they just weren't recorded very well, espcially the second one. They were great live. The guitarist on Aurora, Tom Bryant was stunning, but you just don't hear it on the album. McPherson was one of those incredible talents, but just wasted it. Too many bad drugs. >PFM > > Per Un Amico is my favorite. By the time the came over to the US, they had become a bit more ordinary. >Skip Bifferty > > This one seems to be gaining fans these days. I found two copies of the UK lp in the cut out bins, $1.69 each! I just had it on the other day, and it knocked me out. > >Happy New Year!!! >later, joe > > > > > > -- Ronald Sanchez Director Of A&R Career Records Donovan's Brain
