> And, tonight, ladies and gentlemen, we have reached the absolute apogee > of Boomer self-involvement: John, please don't assume that this blowhard is the spokesperson for my generation. Especially on Christmas Day, that's a horrid association to wipe off my shoes on a day of peace. He's just a self-inflated whiner who spins the same screed over and over and over. My Dad couldn't understand "that noise" I was playing (Beatles, Stones, etc.) when the Dorsey Brothers and Andy Williams were right there for the taking, but he didn't torture me with a daily column. It's amusing that I can like so much of the same music this guy does, but his method of expressing his opinion is so offensive that I feel like we don't. The amount of great songwriters hitting their creative zenith between 64-69 is mind-numbing, but not at the exclusion of the rest of recorder history. Enjoy what moves you, fergoshsakes, without having to find its place on the All Time Roster Of Greatness. Merry Christmas, Auditeers. Hope you are all safe and sound and enjoying the warmth of family and friends. Play it loud! cheers b
