I recorded it at the analogue Aerosol Grey Machine studio in Southern Sweden with genius producer/multi-instrumentalist Christoffer Lundquist, known for his work with Roxette, Per Gessle, The Cardigans, Helena Josefsson and his own band Brainpool. Christoffer¹s Brainpool bandmate Jens Jansson is on drums and Magnus Börjeson plays bass and sings backing vocals. He¹s the man behind Beagle, Favorita, Metro Jets and is an occasional touring member of The Cardigans. The string arrangements on the album were written by the wonderful Robert Kirby, who is best known for his legendary arrangements on the first two Nick Drake albums ³Five Leaves Left² and ³Bryter Layter², as well as records by Elvis Costello, John Cale and Elton John. He even flew to Sweden with me to conduct the string sessions with nine wonderful players from Malmö¹s Opera Orchestra. The album is called ³...And Then Some² and it¹s out today. It¹s distributed in the States by Darla and in Canada by F.A.B. It comes in a gorgeous tri-fold digipack with colour booklet, designed by Dan Bryk. It also comes in a gatefold-housed audiophile 180 gram LP, half-speed mastered by the legendary Stan Ricker (Joe¹s Garage, Brothers In Arms, MFSL Dark Side Of The Moon). Do come visit my space where you can stream side one of the album in excellent quality, read the bio and press quotes and watch some footage from the recording sessions: www.myspace.com/luke_jackson (don¹t forget the underscore!) If you¹re in Toronto, I¹m doing an album and video launch concert at The Rivoli on Thursday night (the 6th) with my full band (David Celia, Chris Lamont and Ryan Luchuck) along with a string quartet led by Kevin Fox. The excellent Jeremy Robinson with perform at opening set at 8.30, I¹m on at 9.30. Thanks for listening guys. No apologies for the self-promotion...auditeers are as close to a perfect audience for my sound as I can imagine ;-) Best wishes, Luke Jackson
