I adore & continue to listen to those four Spinners albums made
for Atlantic Records with Thom Bell: The Spinners, Mighty Love,
New & Improved, and Pick Of The Litter. In addition to the Pervis
bass "underscores" mentioned in online articles, I keep hearing
the low refain "12:45", "I took my time", back & forth from
They Just Can't Stop It (The Games People Play).

I also remember the best Midnight Special ever from late 1975,
where Todd Rundgran introduced Utopia, ending with the astounding
Seven Rays), and where The Spinners performed 4 songs including
Then Came You and the great Sadie, and introduced Sister Sledge
to the nation - looking young & sexy as hell for their debut.
