I know that we have 'agreed to disagree' in the past, Stewart, but you are dead on when it comes to this track. Having grown up in Northern California listening to KDIA and KSOL out of San Francisco, this track brings back summer memories of great King Curtis/Mayfield/Impressions/etc songs that filled the warm summer nights cruising on Pacific Avenue in Stockton, a cool breeze blowing off the Delta. Thanks, bob Stewart Mason wrote: On Tuesday, take a listen to THE STOOP by Little Jackie. It's a duo of singer Imani Coppola (neo-soul singer who had some solo success in the '90s) and producer Adam Pallin, proving that it's possible to be heavily influenced by vintage soul music (specifically Curtis Mayfield and the Invictus label circa 1971) without being a retro throwback. The title track would be a strong contender for this year's summer single were it not for the fact that the numbnuts at S-Curve Records aren't even releasing it as a single. If you have questions about this ask me first. I use Word for all of my Little Hits postings with no ill effects. All you have to do is turn off all of the things where it tries to automatically style the text for you: "smart quotes," turning numbers separated by / into fractions, any of that stuff, which I personally don't want anyway. After that, it won't try to force any code into your text. S
