I just saw this on another newsgroup and thought I would share the news.

i just wanted to remind those of you that happen to live in N. Carolina that this Thursday, THE CANNANES - one of my all-time favorite indie-pop bands, on tour in the U.S. from AUSTRALIA will be playing a rare show in 3-piece acoustic mode at my house in Durham!! This is going to be truly special...I saw them 7 years ago in San Francisco and count it as one of my all-time favorite shows. This will be their first time ever playing in NC so c'mon over and drink a beer and watch one of my favorite bands with me!!

also on the bill are durham's own THE WIGG REPORT - one of my favorite durham pop bands, and i haven't seen them play in a long time (having missed recent anti-folk southeast festivities) so i'm psyched!!

the show will start promptly at 9 and won't go super-late.


some cheap beer will be provided but feel free to byob, and a few bucks for pass-the-hat donations for the touring bands would surely be appreciated!!
