Even though I am not a huge Pixies fan, I decided to check out the film "Loudquietloud" which is featured all week on the new Pitchfork tv site. I ended up getting hooked and not able to look away ,and watched all 90 minutes. One thing I can tell you about me ,is I do not watch movies on the computer. Occasionally I watch a tv show I missed online. This movie caught me off guard. I don't even own a Pixies album. Of course I have heard tunes by them. But there was something about the members of this band ,especially Black Francis and Kim Deal. I was fascinated by them. There is music, family life, friendship, and non-friendship. It tells a compelling story of a band getting back together for a tour ,and how they communicate [or not]. You get a glimpse of each member's life. I am sure this movie was talked about here when it came out. I never paid any attention. But there it was last night and I really enjoyed it. So if you have any interest in this band check it out. The price is right. There were some other cool looking videos at the site [Pitchfork tv} including Radiohead playing "Bangers and Mash" in their producers basement.
