Which is the real deal regarding Ebay and bootlegs? Ebay officially does not allow bootleg sales, but they are everywhere there. Let me put it clear that I'm not properly claiming against bootlegs at all, I really don't care about them and that's not my point here. What I really want to know is, if selling bootlegs is so clearly forbidden on Ebay, how come they're all over the place there, fetching sometimes high final prices? Another question: what use is there on those shipping charts that list all the countries with respective costs? my girlfriend entered Ebay and Paypal mainly beacuse she wanted so much the deleted Dead Can Dance box. In her first Ebay experience, she won the box, but the American seller - who announced he would sell worldwide, accepted Paypal and used that shipping chart - demanded an absurd amount for shipping. Instead of the 12 dollars announced to our country on the chart, he demanded two other options, 58 or 100 dollars! and this was a guy who had 100% positive feedback! After a long dispute, with no deal between parts, the seller refused to sell the box to her. Ebay, then, gave the final verdict: "we can not oblige the seller to follow the chart". So, what's the point? Fortunately, she finally got the box from another American seller, with a something like 10-12 dollars cost stamped on the package. Rafael.
