The Manifest here in Columbia -the original- is a faint shadow of the music geek Valhalla it used to be. You're in Charlotte? How is the one there? On the soul front, the Invictus box is a great buy. Not deep soul, but poppier: "Band of Gold" by Freda Payne, "Westbound # 9" by Flaming Ember, etc. I was honestly surprised how really good these songs sound now. Of course, the Eccentric Soul series is pretty swell, too. (And The Fleshtones used to do a killer cover of "Treat Her Like A Lady", by The Cornelius Bros. and Sister Rose, so Jennifer may want to yell it out tomorrow.)
